stories behind the designs
Every installation begins with a moment—a feeling sparked by a space, a single detail, and our client's brief.
'Stories Behind the Designs' provides a glimpse into the inspiration behind some of our most significant designs: how they came to life, what they were meant to evoke, and the spaces they were crafted to transform.

Liq's Private Member Club
Liqs is an exclusive private members’ club, and I thought I knew exactly what to expect. In my mind, it would be all leather armchairs, dark wood,
and the moody elegance of a traditional gentleman’s club. But when I walked in, I was completely taken aback—in the best way.
The space was bold and unapologetically modern: a striking fusion of cobalt blues, glimmering golds, and eclectic design choices that somehow
worked together flawlessly. I was captivated.
This called for something just as daring. A classic floral statement piece wouldn’t suffice—this design needed to be fearless, unexpected, and a
little rebellious. That’s when the Mohawk design was born—one of my most unconventional (and personal favourite) pieces to date.

The Dominion Theatre
The Dominion Theatre, with its Renaissance Revival architecture, was already grand—but this project wasn’t about the building alone. I was
commissioned to create a dramatic floral installation for its twin staircases, timed to coincide with the red carpet Met Gala launch of The Devil
Wears Prada stage production. With just weeks to prepare, and a guest list including celebrities, designers, and press—there was no room for
subtlety.
The show’s themes of fashion, power, and confidence set the tone. Red—bold, glamorous, and iconic—became the foundation. I dressed 14
metres of staircase in lush foliage, red roses, orchids, and deep crimson blooms. The result? A couture-inspired floral masterpiece that captured
the essence of the production while paying tribute to the theatre’s dramatic architecture.

Bosco's
Hotel
Bosco is a contemporary boutique hotel—youthful, vibrant, and full of energy, yet with an undeniable air of sophistication. The moment I stepped
into the lobby, I felt a spark of creative freedom. This space permitted me to go bold, modern, and just a touch avant-garde.
With an elongated layout behind the reception desk, one statement piece simply wouldn’t do. Instead, I created a trio of identical, sculptural
designs—each striking on its own, but together forming a visual rhythm that echoed the hotel’s modern aesthetic.
